Philadelphia, PA – June 18, 2007 - Cubist Media Group today launched a new website –www.nextgendvdbycubist.com -- dedicated to advancing the understanding of the latest advances in digital video technology related to high definition disc media.

”We built this site as a resource to connect people with valuable information about HD DVD and Blu-ray Disc – their production and their uses,” explains Dave Maietta, head of Cubist's Interactive Unit. "We've done a lot of research and invested a significant amount into our high definition DVD development studio and we want share our learnings with our clients, and other ‘early adopters.’”

The site includes sections on both HD DVD and Blu-ray Disc, as well as a step-by-step guide to planning a next generation DVD project and advice on distribution. “We strongly believe that both Blu-ray and HD DVD will have a place on the shelf,” says John Ballentyne, president of Cubist Media Group. “There is a lot of discussion by supporters on each side, but because we have spent so much time in our development lab, we know it intimately. We want to filter what’s out there and help sort it out.” There is a also a regularly updated “news” section that attempts to keep visitors current on the constantly changing status of high definition disc media and a “resources” column with links to all the relevant associations, DVD and next generation DVD news sources.
