New Structure Streamlines Media Development Services
September 25, 2006 – Philadelphia, PA – Ballentyne Brumble Communications and Cubist Post & Effects, Philadelphia’s leaders in production and post production, are pleased to announce that they will be combining their resources to provide their clients with a full spectrum of media development services. The re-structured company will operate as Cubist Media Group Ltd. and will be the region’s pre-eminent force in delivering creative and technical solutions for communications, education, advertising and entertainment. Organized into four service units – Creative, Productions, Post & Effects, and Interactive – Cubist Media Group offers a multi-disciplinary creative approach along with the latest digital technologies.
John Ballentyne, who with Dianne Brumble, founded Ballentyne Brumble Communications and Cubist Post & Effects, will continue as CEO of Cubist Media Group. After more than 20 years in the production business and 10 in the post production business, says Ballentyne, “Dianne and I agreed that the timing was right to combine our offerings under one company. It simplifies things for our clients and streamlines them for us. Cubist Media Group is all and more than Ballentyne Brumble and Cubist Post & Effects were individually, and we will continue to build on the foundation established through them. While our name has changed, we still bring our combined history of exploiting emerging and disruptive media technologies for the benefit of our clients.
“We are market leaders in advanced DVD authoring. Our Cubist Interactive unit will be at the forefront of the next phase of DVD development with HD-DVD and Blu-ray Disc. On the Post & Effects side, our digital project studio, creative team and open workflow support clients’ unique needs – from standard def to high def – and ensure their creative freedom. Our production unit, Cubist Productions, has a depth of experience that includes working with conventional film and video cameras along with the latest High-Definition and direct-to-disk capture technologies.”
